The idea behind Jans Girls began with vintage fashion pieces that were left by my Grandmother,Janet Jones, who passed away in January of 2017. In an effort to overcome the grief that I was feeling I decided to use that passion as fuel to start up what happens to be one of my favorite ideas ever. I’ve had a love for vintage fashion for so long and I love to share and discuss with like minded individuals.

Vintage fashion is a term that is used to describe clothing and accessories that are inspired by past fashion trends. It refers to clothes that are from a bygone era, usually from the 1920s to the 1990s and even the early 2000s at this point. Vintage fashion is a popular trend among fashion enthusiasts, designers, and fashion bloggers. The trend has gained popularity in recent years, and it is now a staple in the fashion industry. Throughout many areas you will find shoppes, pop ups and even conventions centered around Thrifty items or consignment. Entire websites and businesses have been built on high end vintage and virtual thrift shopping.

Vintage fashion is all about celebrating the past and bringing back the styles of yesteryear. The trend is characterized by a mix of different styles, including art deco, mod, and hippie. It is a fusion of old and new, with modern touches added to vintage pieces to make them relevant and stylish. I find myself enjoying the mix of vintage pieces with newer trendy items. It definitely keeps the outfit interesting. This is where a true sense of style and what works for you comes into play.

The popularity of vintage fashion can be attributed to several factors. Firstly, it is a sustainable and eco-friendly way of dressing. Vintage clothing is recycled and reused, reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills. Secondly, vintage fashion allows people to express their individuality and stand out from the crowd. Vintage pieces are unique and often one-of-a-kind, making them a great way to create a statement look. Lastly, vintage fashion is a nod to the past and a way of paying tribute to the fashion icons that have come before us.
